I’m starting to rethink having some of these apps on my phone! I have time limits set for each a app a day, and it’s crazy how just 5-15 minutes a day goes by so quickly.

Truly. I feel like my best days are when I hide the phone altogether so it's completely out of my sight. Otherwise my tendency is to pick it up every time I walk by. Even if I'm not scrolling, checking notifications every time I walk by pulls on my mind and takes up my precious time. Thanks for reading and responding, Danielle!

It may be Providential that I just came across this because I was having sort of a similar thought, except picturing it as inviting people into my house. It's creepy if you imagine inviting everyone you interact with on the internet into your home, but that is, in a sense, what you do when you consume someone's "content". I'm sure that's part of why social media seems to cause mental health issues.

This was brilliantly said, much better than I could have done!

Thanks so much for your response, Kelly. I can totally imagine that whole idea as well... We truly are inviting all this noise into our lives, welcoming them to sit down at the table and have a conversation. It is really is creepy when you think about it that way!
