It took me over a year to finish this journal. Not sure why… I think I might have lost it for a few months??? It is one I made last spring, and I jotted notes about last year’s summer vacation, recording everyone’s memories of our trip. You can also see how my kids like to take over my journals here…. I especially love Rune’s birthday drawing he made when he turned 4. He is wearing a birthday hat, and there are balloons and little cakes all over the place. I made a lot of the sketches during morning times at the table with Randy and the kids. There are some pages here from our anniversary trip, with prayers, musings, and of course, quotes from Randy.

From the Podcast:
It is human nature to want more. We are so easily caught up in the search–a better life for our children, a more meaningful existence, convenience, efficiency, easier, faster, better… There is a searching that leaves us restless with what we have been given. And there is another searching that steps back, reevaluates what we have, and finds deep meaning and purpose behind the raw material of our ordinary lives. Join me in this conversation about how to lead a more contented life, searching and finding the beauty that is already waiting there.
From the Family Archives:
Randy is my favorite band. I love this Bob Marley cover he recorded back in 2020. Love our music? You can listen to our love/family songs on Spotify. (If you listen, I’d love to know which song is your favorite!)
Sending love and soft summer rains,
Mackenzie
